
Timothy Gadson
Dr. Timothy Gadson - Decades of School Leadership Experience
Over the course of his career in education, Dr. Timothy Gadson has held superintendent and associate superintendent positions in school districts across the United States. In several states, he has experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Most recently, Dr. Timothy Gadson served as superintendent of the Salt Lake City School District, where he increased support for underperforming schools and brokered a deal with the Utah Transit Authority to provide free transportation for students and staff. Dr. Timothy Gadson also implemented policies that earned him recognition for improving graduation rates in several states.
Widely published in journals and textbooks, Dr. Gadson has written on topics ranging from school transformation to closing the achievement gap and gave the keynote address at the 2015 West Point Leads Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Before joining the Salt Lake City School District, he served as associate superintendent of Anoka-Hennepin Schools in Minnesota.
Currently, Dr. Gadson is a consultant to the Board of Education and president and chief executive officer of Brown Bears Academy of Learning Community Improvement Group, Inc., a nonprofit that provides grants and scholarships for needy children.
Dr. Gadson is a nationally certified mediator specializing in business, family, and divorce mediation. He is also skilled at conflict resolution and workplace mediation.
